Support Mick and Michelle Cardiff

As many of my readers will know, I have been involved with St John Ambulance since my days living in Gibraltar. During that time, I have been fortunate to receive high-quality instruction from many volunteers within the wider St John Ambulance family. All of those instructors would go above and beyond the call of duty to help any of their learners. It’s all part of being in SJA.

Now, one of those instructors needs the help of others. You see, he and his wife were involved in a tragic accident in Dublin on the evening of Saturday 5 March 2022. Mick and Michelle Cardiff have been left with life-changing injuries and have had to undergo multiple surgeries thus far.

Mick gave me the confidence to put the skills that I had learned into practice when out on duty with St John Ambulance Ireland. I know that he has inspired countless learners both within the volunteers of SJAI and among other learners elsewhere.

This evening, I became aware that the Cardiff family has created a GoFundMe page to raise money to support Mick and Michelle as they return home from the hospital and start on the long road to recovery. If you cannot donate any money, please share the link.
